       April is all about Venus as on the 3rd Venus moves into Gemini (the sign of fun and games) for a 4 month stay!! And, the breezes of April could blow a new sweetheart into your life as friendship easily blends with romance!  The planet of love and beauty rules two of the Sun signs:  Taurus and Libra.  People born under these signs seem to have a special relationship with Venus (and love).  The house in which she occupies is where she will make her voice heard most often in our lives.  While Venus is in this sign, love and romance will take on a very capricious quality.  Single people may discover they enjoy dating and certainly flirting more than usual. People in committed partnerships will want to add some spice and color, putting more emphasis on finding more things the two of them can do together. 

     Is this going to be as much fun as it sounds?  Maybe so and maybe not, as there can be a downside to such a long stay of the love planet in the sign of fun and games! At one point it may feel like it is too much of a good thing. You will ask, ‘Do we get a break in there somewhere?”  As a matter of fact, we do, when on May 13 at 21°Gemini Venus turns retrograde, moving backward in the sky from Earth until she turns direct on June 25 at 3°Gemini.

     Whaat does this mean in practical terms when a planet turns retrograde? In the case of Venus, it means her energy is somewhat diminished, dampened down, and not expressed to the fullest extent. It also mess that in the areas off your life that Venus rules, such as your love affairs, romantic impulses, and your beauty regimen, thing my take  turn in another direction, so it is important to to be aware of this. When Venus is retrograde, it is not the best idea to try out a new hairstyle, impulsively trade your old clothes for a new style or run off to Vegas and elope.

     Once Venus turns direct, as she will at the end of June, you take a look in the mirror at yourself while wearing a new outfit and feel a sinking feeling.  You might not be ready for what you see, but it IS you!!  A totally NEW You!!

      April’s Full Moon occurs on the 7th at 9:33pm at 18°Libra 0°43’. This Full Moon intends for calm and peace!!The New Moon shines in Taurus on April 22nd at 3°24’ at 9:24pm. The first eight hours after this New Moon is exact are the most powerful for wishing. This is an excellent time for quiet, private activities.
